Meet Stacey
Stacey Wensil is Co-Founder of The Bridge and is a passionate advocate, ministry leader, and community builder dedicated to serving children, families, and vulnerable communities. Since graduating from Texas A&M University in 2009, she has devoted her life to creating meaningful change through servant leadership, compassion, and a commitment to helping others.
For more than a decade, Stacey has invested in the Waco community through initiatives that support children and families, including establishing an annual Christmas drive, leading development efforts to build a home for children awaiting foster care placement, and mobilizing volunteers, churches, and community partners to respond to the foster care crisis. She wears many hats and has served the community of Waco as the local missions coordinator for her church, coached youth sports, equipped hundreds of children with life-saving swimming skills, and helped many navigate through the home buying process as a local real estate agent with Camille Johnson, Realtors.
While passionate about serving her local community, Stacey also brings extensive experience in international nonprofit leadership through having served alongside community leaders in over 30 countries. Through her work in anti-trafficking in Southeast Asia, she has helped establish the international NGO extension of a U.S. non-profit, led cross-cultural teams, overseen multi-million dollar construction projects, managed communications through dignified storytelling, and helped equip local leaders to cast vision, create strategy, and implement sustainable community development programs. Before entering nonprofit leadership, Stacey worked as an educator, developing a lifelong passion for mentoring, encouraging, and investing in the next generation.
Above all, Stacey loves Jesus and seeks to live out her faith through service, generosity, and authentic relationships. She is a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas, and a proud mom of three. Her family is her greatest joy and continues to inspire her commitment to building a world where children are valued, families are strengthened, and communities flourish.
Whether through serving behind the scenes, leading, or advocating, Stacey’s desire is to connect people to purpose and inspire others to use their gifts and influence to make a lasting difference.
