Meet Ashlea

Ashlea is a founding board member of  The Bridge. She is a wife, mother of three amazing children, pediatric occupational therapist, and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ. She and her husband are blessed to be raising their family in Waco, Texas, surrounded by the support and encouragement of their immediate family.

Originally from Crawford, Texas, Ashlea has always had a deep love for Central Texas and a passion for serving children and families. As a pediatric occupational therapist, she has the privilege of helping children build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive. Her heart for serving extends beyond her profession and into advocating for and supporting vulnerable children and families throughout her community.

Outside of work, Ashlea can often be found cheering from the baseball stands, part-time homeschooling two of her three children, enjoying family time by the pool, volunteering at her children's school and her church, planning the next family adventure, or creating magical memories at Disney World—one of her family's favorite places to visit together. She loves opportunities to connect with her family and believes that some of life's greatest joys are found in simply spending time together.

The foundation of Ashlea's life and this ministry is Jesus Christ. Her desire is to be His hands and feet by helping bridge gaps within the child welfare system, supporting children and families during difficult seasons, and sharing the hope, love, and grace found only in Him. She believes every child and family deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved, and she is honored to be part of a mission dedicated to making that vision a reality.
